Coaxial Cable Meters: Cable:
Reel: free-standing on metal frame; central brake system; available in various sizes ranging from 100 feet to 1000 feet of cable length capacity. Unit weight for up to 1000 feet of cable must be approximately 20 pounds or less.
Electronics must consist of both visual (LED) and audible (buzzer) signals that the probe end of the cable has contacted water and completed is simple circuit. Unit must include a mode selection switch with four (f) modes: and "off" mode to prevent the unit from draining battery when not in use; a "test" mode used to check that the battery, visual, and audible signals are operational; a visual signal mode to only activate the visual signal when the probe end of the cable reaches water; and an audible mode which will activate both the visual and audible signals when the probe end reaches water.
The unit must also include a sensitivity dial which is used to adjust the probe sensitivity and help avoid false readings. Unit must operate off of a battery which is easily accessible and replaceable.
