Description View Changes

Transport Agency owned Type 6 Fire Engines or equivalent vehicles from designated pickup locations in Region 6 to designated drop locations in Region 8. The successful vendor will provide vehicle carrier transport that is of sufficient size and capability to transport vehicles that have a weight of approximately 16500 lbs. each and a length of 22'5 (270”) up to 25' (300”) based on the cab configuration and width of 8’ (96”) . The successful vendor is responsible for loading, securing, and delivering the vehicles to the designated drop off locations as directed by the US Forest Service Representative.





Each Type 6 Fire Engine is valued at $325,000.00 including the vehicle and associated firefighting apparatus and equipment inventory. The successful vendor(s) shall have carrier insurance to cover any damages or loss while the vehicles are in their possession. The successful vendor(s) is/are responsible to follow all USDOT rules and requirements related to safely securing the equipment and delivering the vehicles to their designated locations. The successful vendor(s) is/are responsible for providing qualified drivers, all operating supplies and all equipment necessary to accomplish the requirements identified in this statement of work.



*****02/05/2024 *****(UPDATED) - Ammedment 0001 to solicitation #1240BE24Q0027. The purpose of this amendment is in response to the following questions regarding this solicitation.



Question 1: What is the height of the items?

Answer: The maximum height is 9' (108").





Question 2: Are there ramps at the pick up and drop off locations?

Answer: No, there are not ramps at either location.





Question 3: What type of trailer do we require?

Answer: The carrier must determine the type of trailer suitable to transport vehicles of the provided dimensional data with self-loading capability.





Question 4: Can the equipment be delivered earlier?

Answer: The carrier may attempt to coordinate with the delivery destination for earlier delivery.





Question 5: What are the payment terms and do we make payments through Syncada.

Answer: Refer to solicitation document for payment terms. Payments will be processed through the Invoice Processing Platform (IPP).





Question 6: Are there special clearance requirements at pick up and delivery locations?

Answer: No special clearance required. Access to pick up and deliver will be coordinated with those locations.





Question 7: Is this a brand new contract OR, is or (was) an incumbent performing these services?

Answer: This is a new contract.

This requirement has been cancelled. The requirement owners have decided to self-perform the transportation as listed in the RFQ.
