Description

The Oregon Work for Warriors Program Support Services functions to assist in the development and implementation of outreach services for military personnel entering/re-entering the civilian community with concentration on education and employment opportunities. Network with the local government and other agencies and disseminate this information to the appropriate Veterans and/or Service Members. Provide career support to include career assessment, resume writing, interview skills coaching, and identification of employment barriers. Participate in yellow ribbon events for the ORARNG. Identify educational and employment needs of Service Members and their Families within seven (7) geographic areas. Provide reports back to the ORARNG to include but not limited to pre-employment and educational progress, with special focus on the status of unemployed Service Members deployed since 2003.
