INTENT
Panel CR 8 is one of many electrical panels at the Navlock. The panel is located on the upstream river side of the Navlock. The panel is in a wet environment due to the condensation from the upstream sump. This panel was installed in the 1950’s and does not adhere to the most recent code. There is no ground ran with most of the circuits, and there are many shared neutrals in the panel.
We will be running all new conductors to all the circuits of CR8. The cable will be rated for wet conditions and will have a ground conductor for all circuits. We will be installing new highly efficient LED lighting, and adding new service receptacles throughout the galleries. We will be replacing mercury lighting contactors with new equipment.
The following specifications pertain to the purchase of new equipment and parts to do the replacement. All wire shall be copper XHHW-2, no exceptions.
SCOPE
The Contractor shall be required to deliver the equipment and parts to McNary Dam by the date shown in Section Shipment and Delivery. The Contractor shall provide documentation and other items as stated in the specifications.
