The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is issuing a solicitation for Spillway Direct Fish Injury Evaluation Services, commercial service, prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 12.6. The NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 541380, with a Small Business Size Standard of $19M employees as determined by 13 CFR 121.104.

Competition for this requirement is Set-Aside for small business. Offers received from other than small business offerors will not be considered. When available, the solicitation documents for this project W912EF24Q0012 will be provided via SAM https://www.sam.gov on or around 3 January 2024. Please do not submit a quote without the solicitation package that will be provided to industry by the Government as specified above. The solicitation will be a Request for Quote (RFQ). Performance Work Statement (will be provided during Solicitation):

This project involves estimating direct injury and survival of yearling Chinook salmon passing through various routes of the McNary Dam Spillway by direct releases of fish equipped with balloon tags. Currently, there are concerns about possible injury to fish that will be passing the new emergency spillway operations at McNary in 2024. There is regional interest in performing a direct injury evaluation prior to the mandated Spring spill season which starts on April 3, 2024. The period of performance is March 2024.
