The City of Veneta seeks consultant proposals to produce a Cybersecurity Assessment and Vulnerability Mitigation Plan. The City has a range of critical cyber infrastructure connected to its stormwater, water, and sewage systems. Over 5,000 residents in the City of Veneta depend on this critical infrastructure for essential services.
The City also operates a utility service which includes sensitive personal information. Cyberterrorists that access this information have the potential to commit fraud and identity theft which could impact thousands of utility customers. The consultant will perform a cyber penetration test to identify vulnerabilities that can be mitigated by future investment. The results of the penetration test, recommendations to reduce the City’s vulnerabilities, and cost estimates of implementing recommended actions should be detailed in the consultant’s final report.
