Kruger Road and Parrett Mountain Road Broadband Extension

Bids for furnishing labor and materials for the construction of the Kruger Road and Parrett Mountain Road Broadband Extension for the City of Sherwood will be received at City of Sherwood, Public Works, 15527 SW Willamette St , Sherwood, Oregon 97140 (Attn: Todd Hurd, Network Engineer) or by email at hurdt@sherwoodoregon.gov until the Bid Closing at 12:00 PM (PDT) on Friday, November 4th 2022. Please title the envelope or subject line “Kruger Road and Parrett Mountain Road Broadband Extension”. Bids will then be opened at shortly after the BID CLOSING . No bids will be accepted after the BID CLOSING time.

First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure forms must be received at the above mentioned location or email address no later than 4:00 PM (PDT) on November 4th 2022. Proposals without a completed First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure form submitted will be considered non-responsive.

Project Description

The Work to be done under this Contract consists of the construction of the following items:

1. Phase 1 - Construct roughly 15,390 feet of aerial and 10,707 feet of underground 288ct armored fiber optic cable along SW Kruger Rd, SW Mountain Home Rd, SW Courtney Rd, and SW Schmeltzer Rd.
2. Phase 2 - Construct roughly 5,684 feet of aerial and 10,996 feet of underground 288ct armored fiber cable along Parrett Mountain Rd, SW Heater Rd, and NE Smith Rd.

All Bid Documents, including Plans, Specifications, Addenda and List of Plan Holders will be available by emailing Todd Hurd at hurdt@sherwoodoregon.gov .

NO PRE-BID MEETING WILL BE HELD FOR THIS PROJECT although questions can be submitted BY EMAIL ONLY to hurdt@sherwoodoregon.gov by 2:00 PM (PDT) on Tuesday, November 1 ^st , 2022. A log of all questions received, and answers provided via email will be memorialized via addendum no later than 72-hours prior to the Bid Opening date & time.

This is a local public works project subject to BOLI prevailing wages (ORS 279C.800 to ORS 279C.870).

Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of Sherwood in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount bid.

The City of Sherwood may reject a bid that does not comply with prescribed public contracting procedures and requirements, including the requirement to demonstrate the bidder’s responsibility under ORS 279C.375(3)(b), and that the City may reject for good cause, all bids after finding that doing so is in the public interest. City reserves the right to waive minor informalities in any bid.
